“The Right Time to step Down” - Leamy to depart after 6 Years
The Glen Dimplex Board has appointed its Chairman Fergal Naughton as Group CEO.

The Glen Dimplex Board has appointed its Chairman Fergal Naughton as Group CEO.

He succeeds Fergal Leamy who, several months ago, signalled his plans to step down after 6 years with the business and with much of its transformation nearing completion. Whereas the formal leadership transition occurs in April, Fergal Leamy will aid the transition in an advisory capacity through to next Autumn.

Commenting, Fergal Naughton said:

“I consider it a privilege to lead my family’s business, which was founded by my father, Martin, more than half a century ago.

“On behalf of the Board, our exceptional leadership team and all colleagues across our Group, I would like to thank Fergal for his significant contribution and collegiate support in driving our transformation as a solutions provider for more sustainable homes and businesses.

“I look forward to working with our colleagues around the world over the weeks and months ahead, and in particular, to engaging closely with our strong leadership teams as we position for the undoubted opportunities that lie ahead.”

Commenting, Fergal Leamy said:

“Over the last 6 years we have progressed a significant transformation of the group, built a really strong leadership team and positioned the business to maximise its growth potential as the energy transition gathers momentum”

“Now felt like the right time for me personally to move on and focus on a number of other interests. I have very much enjoyed working with Fergal Naughton, he is the logical person to continue the transformation journey he started back in 2016. I look forward to working closely with Fergal over the next few months but for now I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the wonderful team we have at Glen Dimplex and to thank the Board and shareholders for the opportunities and experiences they have given me over the last 6 years.”
