Michael Maher
Michael was educated at University College Dublin (UCD) from where he holds a Bachelors of Commerce and Masters in Accounting. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant at PWC in 1989 and was appointed as a partner during 1998 in the Audit and Business Advisory Services Practice.
During his time at PWC he focused upon transaction support, litigation support and insolvency and structured lease financing. As a Partner, he managed a portfolio of leasing and banking clients and held responsibility for the PWC Banking and Leasing Group.
Michael joined Glen Dimplex as Group Finance Director in 2000. He took over the role of Chief Operating Officer in 2016 and was Director of Mergers & Acquisitions from June 2019 to March 2020, at which time he transitioned from a role on the Executive Board to a non-executive position on the Supervisory Board.
